Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must strictly adhere to these institutional guidelines prior to submission:

  1. Manuscript Types & Word Limits

  • Research Articles: 4,000–8,000 words (including references, tables, and figures).

  • Review Articles: 5,000–10,000 words.

  • Short Communications: 1,500–3,000 words.

  • Technical Notes / Case Studies: 2,000–4,000 words.

  1. Formatting & Style

  • Font & Spacing: Times New Roman, Font size 12, 1.5-line spacing.

  • Referencing: Strictly follow the American Psychological Association (APA) 7th Edition style.

  1. Plagiarism Policy

  • Manuscripts are screened via Turnitin/iThenticate.

  • Submissions must have a similarity index of not more than 15% to be considered for peer review.

  1. Review Process

  • CUJART operates a rigorous double-blind peer review system.

  • Ensure author identities are completely removed from the main manuscript text.

Section default policy

Editorials and Remarks

This section is reserved for forewords, introductory remarks, and official announcements by the Editor-in-Chief. Manuscripts submitted under this section are published by invitation or direct editorial designation and do not undergo peer review.

Original Research Articles

Full-length empirical studies presenting original, novel findings in agricultural sciences, food systems, and climate-resilient technologies. Submissions must be between 4,000 and 8,000 words (excluding references) and follow APA 7th edition formatting.

Review Papers

Comprehensive, critical evaluations of existing literature addressing contemporary challenges in agriculture, food security, and climate-smart technologies (Up to 10,000 words)

Short Communications

Rapid publication articles reserved for preliminary or highly urgent findings within the agricultural sciences (2,000 to 3,000 words).
